A little care keeps a sprayer working reliably for many seasons and prevents the most common breakdowns. These simple habits make a big difference.

Clean after every use

Always empty and rinse the tank after spraying. Leftover chemicals corrode parts and clog nozzles. Flush clean water through the pump and nozzle until it runs clear, especially after using strong herbicides.

Keep nozzles clear

Blocked nozzles cause weak or uneven spray. Remove and clean nozzles gently with water and a soft brush — never with metal wire, which damages the opening. Keep a spare set of nozzles handy during the season.

Check seals, hoses and filters

Inspect the hose, washers and seals for cracks or leaks and replace worn parts early. Clean the tank filter regularly so debris doesn't reach the pump and nozzle.

Battery care (for battery sprayers)

Charge the battery fully before storage and avoid leaving it completely discharged for long periods. Charge in a dry place, don't overcharge, and replace the battery once it no longer holds a useful charge.

Store properly

Store the sprayer empty, clean and dry, out of direct sun and away from heat. Loosen the lid slightly during long storage. For engine sprayers, follow the engine's fuel and oil storage guidance.

Use genuine spare parts

When something wears out, fit genuine parts that match your sprayer. Quality spares restore performance and protect the rest of the machine. Masand supplies sprayer spare parts through its dealer network.
